The Establishment of Neem Karoli Dham: A Remarkable Story
The establishment of Neem Karoli Dham in Indore is a divine and inspiring tale, filled with mystical events. It all began during the COVID-19 pandemic when Shri Pramod Jha, a senior pracharak (campaigner) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Madhya Pradesh at the time, arrived at Shri Khalifa Farm House in Indore. The farm house was managed by Shri Anand Thakur and was a place of simplicity and serenity. There was only a modest room on the premises, while the rest of the area remained vacant.
The Beginning with Tree Plantation
Shri Jha was determined to infuse this land with spiritual energy. He began by planting trees, and soon, the farmhouse was lined with lush greenery. The place already had a sacred Chandreshwar Mahadev temple, which served as a unique spiritual center.
Inspired by Neem Karoli Baba
During the Kumbh Mela, Shri Pramod Jha met the son of Neem Karoli Baba, a meeting that left a deep impression on his heart. Upon returning to the farmhouse, he felt a strong desire to sanctify the land with Baba’s presence. With this thought in mind, he decided to place a picture of Neem Karoli Baba on the wall of one of the rooms in the farmhouse.
The Miraculous Story of the Painting
An artist was invited to create a painting of Baba. He was given no instructions about the size or style of the artwork, yet he arrived with a magnificent and extraordinary painting. The image was so divine and grand that everyone who saw it was deeply moved. It felt as if Baba himself had guided the artist in bringing his form to life.
The Grand Inauguration
It was decided to consecrate this sacred painting, and on May 28, 2022, a grand three-day ceremony was held to establish Neem Karoli Dham. The event was carried out with full rituals and deep devotion. Amazingly, within just 15 days of the inauguration, people began to experience Baba’s blessings and presence.
The Arrival of Hanuman Ji’s Divine Idol
Some time after the establishment of the Dham, an unknown family suddenly arrived with a Hanuman Ji idol that had been in their home for 8–10 years. They requested that the idol be installed at Neem Karoli Dham. This unexpected event felt nothing short of a miracle.
Shri Jha said, “Consecration is done for an idol we choose, but here, God himself has arrived. Our duty is only to serve him.” With great respect, the idol was then installed at the Dham.
The Significance of the Dham
Neem Karoli Dham has now become a sacred place, symbolizing devotion, service, and miracles. Every visitor here experiences the divine presence of Baba and Hanuman Ji in a unique way. This is not just a temple; it is a powerful reminder of how faith and selfless service can transform any place into a divine sanctuary.
